There are four critical issues that you need to consider when shipping personal effects:

1/ Cost

Ensure that you have measured your packs accurately and compare services on a 'like-for-like' basis. Make sure that ALL charges have been included and that 'destination' charges are shown. If you are uncertain what to look for, we can send you a checklist.

2/ Transit

Be realistic. Ensure that you select the service that will get your effects to destination when you need them. If you're not sure - ask.

3/ Security

Don't risk your personal effects with any supplier unless you are sure they are reputable and secure.

4/ Insurance

Personal effects are normally covered by standard household cover; you should read your policy, or consult your broker. If uncertain, it may be worth incorporating in your travel insurance. You'll probably find it's already covered.
